Unit Information

• Unit Name: 4 South
• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Unit Staffing Description: Two unit secretaries available daily from 0600-2200, with patient care techs present at all times.
• Type of Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Dynamaps, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 12-hour shifts (7 PM-7 AM), every other weekend, holidays required.
• Floating Policy: All nurses may float to other units as needed.
• Patient Experience Requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, and AIDET.

Qualifications

• Requested Skill Set: Strong nursing background, thorough assessment skills, attention to detail, and ability to recognize condition changes.

• Desire for excellence and accountability, ability to multitask, and handle stressful situations.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Meditech Experience: Required
• Advanced Skills: Telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Procedures Performed: PICC line removal, vascular catheter/temp catheter removal

Dress Code

Ceil Blue Scrubs. Candidates must adhere to the hospital’s hygiene and dress code policy.
