Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical Surgical to join our team for a night shift position. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment plans.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with the possibility for accommodating scheduling requests for a 48-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Available to obtain ACLS certification prior to the start date if not currently certified.

Work location is in the city of Dothan, Alabama.
