Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg / Telemetry team. This unit focuses on the admission of general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a rapidly changing environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, making timely interventions as necessary.
• Coordinate patient admissions and discharges efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license verification through Nursys.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a MedSurg or Telemetry environment.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Work history showing no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Completion of skills checklist and provision of professional references.

Patient Ratio

The typical patient load is 5-6 patients per nurse, allowing for focused and attentive care.
