Job Description

Join our dedicated team in Inpatient Rehabilitation, specializing in Medical Surgical care. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Schedule: Day shifts from 0630 to 1900

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Med Surg (Medical Surgical)
• Beds Available: 35
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:5 during days, 1:6 during nights
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Adults and geriatrics with conditions such as Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee, Brain Injury, critical illness, and neurological diseases including Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s.
• Nurse Aide/Patient Care Tech Ratios: One aide for every 10-15 patients

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Required Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Exams: RN candidates must pass a written exam during orientation, achieving a score of 90% or higher.
• Fingernail Policy: Artificial nails are not allowed in patient care departments. Non-compliance may result in contract termination.

Scheduling

• Self-Scheduling: Cyclic self-scheduling is available.
• Weekend Requirement: At least every third weekend.
• Holiday Requirement: A minimum of 2 holidays per year.
• Floating: May be required to float to MedSurg units as needed.

Orientation and Training

• Orientation: Includes classroom training and 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation.
