Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical nursing. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and will work in a team-oriented environment focused on improving patient outcomes.

Schedule

• Start Date: ASAP (10/18)
• Orientation Schedule: Virtual orientation on Monday, followed by unit training for the remainder of the week.
• Shift: 12-hour days from 0645 to 1915.
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month.
• Holiday Requirement: Required as needed in rotation.

Floating Requirement

The RN may float within their scope of practice based on unit needs.

On Call Requirement

• 1 shift per month.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience in a hospital setting.
• Preferred experience with intravenous medications such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current RN license in Kansas or Compact.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted but are expected to convert to permanent after the initial contract.
• This is a nicotine-free facility.
• The facility allows for 2 cancellations per month with a minimum 2-hour notice.
• Credential documents are due Monday of the week before the start date.
