Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in MedSurg and postpartum care. Ideal candidates will be ready to provide quality care in a small rural environment, accommodating various nursing responsibilities as needed.

Shift Information

This position involves a night shift from 1745 to 0600. The nurse will primarily work in the MedSurg unit, with the potential of providing care in postpartum as required.

Patient Care Responsibilities

• 1:1 patient ratio for postpartum care.
• 1:3 average patient ratio for MedSurg care.
• Will occasionally take on charge nurse responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) is required.
• Experience with CPSI/Perigen charting preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Certification, and NRP certifications are mandatory and must be obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Valid Kansas or Multistate nursing license required at the time of submission.

Additional Requirements

While flu vaccination is strongly preferred, exemptions for medical and religious reasons may be accepted. Employees may be required to wear a mask during flu season.

Scrubs and Attire

Any color scrubs are acceptable for this position.

Travelers

Local travelers are welcome to apply at the same rate, and previous travel experience is preferred.
