Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Unit Staffing:
  • Two unit secretaries available daily from 06:00 to 22:00
  • Patient care techs utilized at all times; amount varies based on census
• Type of Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner
• Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements

• 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Every other weekend and holidays are required

Floating Policy

All nurses may float to other units as necessary.

Patient Experience Requirements

• Hourly rounding
• Bedside shift report
• My Care Boards
• AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You)

Qualifications

• Requested Skill Set:
  • Strong nursing background and comprehensive assessment skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to recognize condition changes
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, teamwork, self-motivation, and effective communication skills
  • Desire for excellence, accountability, ability to multitask, and capability to manage stressful situations
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Advanced Skills Needed: Telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Experience with Procedures: PICC line removal, vascular catheter removal

Dress Code

• Ceil blue scrubs are required
• Adherence to hospital hygiene and dress code policies
