Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality patient care in both the Emergency Room (ER) and MedSurg settings. The role involves managing diverse patient needs, with a balanced focus on both areas depending on the patient flow during shifts.

Shift Details

• Shift: 6 AM – 6 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the ER and MedSurg units.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
• Maintain clear communication with the healthcare team regarding the shift focus, whether it leans more towards MedSurg or ER duties.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as required.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas or multi-state compact license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (all AHA approved).
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred but not required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Less than three years of experience may be considered.

Additional Information

• No mileage restrictions are applicable for this position.
• Caring and collaborative team environment with 2 nurses, 1 aid, and 1 staff secretary on the unit.
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are around 1:3, with a maximum of 5:1.
• Flexible dress code with no set scrub colors.
• COVID-19 vaccine exemptions accepted; flu vaccination is not required.
