Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical and telemetry environment. The role requires a commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability to meet the needs of the unit and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Floating: Required between Med Surg and Tele departments
• Holidays: Required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals on medical-surgical and telemetry units.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs for nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Experience with Cerner charting is preferred.
• Must be adept at caring for Med Surg patients requiring remote telemetry monitoring.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing is necessary.
• Two completed travel assignments in acute care environments are required.
