Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our MedSurg / Telemetry unit. This role involves caring for general medical and surgical patients, including those who are in the process of being admitted and those awaiting surgery. The unit includes 10 beds and is known for its rapid admission process, resulting in a faster patient turnover than traditional medical-surgical units.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and provide critical interventions as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and patients to ensure optimal care.
• Manage a patient load of 5:1 in a dynamic admission unit.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a MedSurg / Telemetry nursing role.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Valid nursing license verification through Nursys.
