Job Title: Staff RN – Med/Surg – FT – Nights

Shift: 7 PM – 7:30 AM, Nights

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the established FMC policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.
• Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through the discharge process.
• Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate, safe manner.
• Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle multiple priorities; critical thinking skills.
