Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical and Oncology care. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in various medical specialties including oncology, hematology, nephrology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and general medicine.

Unit Information

• Unit Types: Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrine, GI, Dermatology, General Medicine
• Number of Beds: 56 beds
• Common Diagnoses: Cancer diagnoses, Oncology, Hematology, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Diabetes, Gastrointestinal issues, Abdominal pain, Dermatology conditions
• Patient Demographics: Ages 18 and up, including adults
• Specialty Equipment: IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, specialty beds (sand beds)

Shift Information

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating: Required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical and Oncology nursing
• Documented travel experience required
• Active New York RN License and all RN licenses
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS, and Chemo Certification
• Experience with EMR Systems, specifically EPIC
