Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our medical unit. Candidates must possess educational verification, a current Wisconsin license, CPR/BLS certification, and NIHSS training.

This position may require traveling RNs to float to other units and involves every other weekend and holiday coverage, with 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document patient information according to established standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician prescriptions and hospital policies, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement initiatives, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s ongoing plan of care.
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command as needed.
