Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Position Overview

This role is focused on providing medical and surgical care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their recovery process. The position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

General Information

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other weekend required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, documenting any changes in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on medical conditions and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Active compact or Alabama RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 6 to 1 effectively.

Additional Information

• Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Must include home address and SSN in application submissions.
• Float to other units may be required based on facility needs.
• Years of experience required: 1.
