Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

General Information

We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in a dynamic environment. The position involves providing high-quality patient care to individuals with medical and surgical needs.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 40
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse for every 7 patients
• Unit Staffing: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 7 Nurses, 4 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and 1 Unit Coordinator (UC) per shift
• Type of Equipment: Standard medical equipment for a medical-surgical unit
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week with rotating weekends
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is the first to float to similar units

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a medical-surgical setting required
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a current RN license in Georgia required
• Advancement Skills: No advanced skills required

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Glucose Monitoring
• Venipuncture

Dress Code

Required uniform includes royal blue top and bottom.
