Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic healthcare setting. The successful candidate will join a team focused on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

General Information

• Location: Augusta, GA
• Unit: 5 West
• Number of Beds: 40
• Patient Ratios: 1:7
• Unit Staffing: 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 7 nurses, 4 patient care technicians (PCTs), and 1 unit coordinator (UC) per shift
• Type of Equipment: Regular medical equipment for a Med/Surg unit
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week with rotating weekends
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is prioritized to float to similar units
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year in patient care

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Current RN license in GA
• Experience in a Med/Surg setting

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in performing EKGs, blood glucose checks, and venipuncture

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs (top and bottom) are required.
