Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Surgical Unit team. The ideal candidates will possess the required certifications and have a strong background in nursing, particularly in an adult surgical environment, with the capability to care for pediatric patients as needed. Travel may be required to float to other units.

Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established nursing techniques, policies, and procedures while adhering to standards of care and state laws.
• Document patient care in accordance with standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and/or hospital policies, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement initiatives, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients’ longitudinal care plans across units or departments.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to enhance patient safety and experience, and escalate concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
