Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med/Surg and Nephrology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing treatment in a 20-bed unit focused on transplant nephrology.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Staffing Description: Unit secretary available during the day, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and a unit educator on site.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Weekend Shifts Requirement: Three (3) shifts per month
• Floating Policy: Agency/contract nurses float first as necessary.
• Experience Requirements: Med/Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal, and dialysis preferred.

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Certifications: BLS certification required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Med/Surg or related setting is preferred.

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs are required, and black scrub pants may also be worn.
