Surgical Trauma Nursing Support Tech

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Surgical Trauma Nursing Support Techs to join our high-acuity floor. The role requires commitment to meet shift requirements as no block schedules are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support for patients with a variety of conditions, including surgical cases, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including phlebotomists and unit secretaries, to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in nurse handoffs with the Emergency Department nurses and admitting units to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical trauma nursing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is preferred.
• Ability to work without requesting time off (RTO) preferred.

Patient Care Environment

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1, ensuring you can provide focused and effective care to each individual.
