Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in Medical/Surgical is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in a hospital setting, with a workload that includes a variety of patient conditions.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and individualized patient care within the hospital med-surg unit.
Administer medications and injections, prepare patients for surgery, and perform diagnostic tests.
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Communicate with physicians and other health care providers about patient conditions.

Requirements:

1 year of hospital med-surg experience.
KS RN or Compact license, AHA BLS & ACLS certification.
Ability to float within scope to the Emergency Department.
Experience with gtts such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem preferred.
Availability to work 2 weekends per month and 1 on-call shift per month.
