Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse), Med Surg

Shift: 12H Nights, Nights 19:00:00-07:00:00, every other weekend

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in the Med Surg unit with responsibilities including monitoring patients, administering medications, and coordinating with healthcare staff to ensure patient needs are met.

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, and hip fractures.
• Handle post-operative care including TURPs, hip and knee replacements.
• Administer and titrate medications including Heparin and Bumex.
• Coordinate and collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides.
• Utilize equipment such as Cpap, bipap, and high flow devices.

Requirements:

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience in general medical-surgical settings and knowledge of pediatric care.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips with monitoring support from CCU staff.
