Job Description:

The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. Responsibilities may vary across units, which include specialized Alzheimer’s/dementia care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for Alzheimer’s/dementia residents with specialized communication techniques.
• Deliver short-term, skilled nursing, and rehab services for post-surgery or injury patients.
• Offer long-term care for residents in a home-like environment.
• Administer IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment as needed.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• Valid State of Maine or compact RN license
• 1-3 years of RN experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to cover various shifts and float to other units as necessary
