Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatment as prescribed and ensure accurate documentation using Point Click Care Comp charting.
• Monitor resident health status and report any changes to the nursing team.
• Provide compassionate care and support to residents and their families.
• Assist with daily living activities and personalize care plans based on individual resident needs.
• Collaborate with a nursing team and coordinate care with CNAs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Work Schedule

This position requires a rotating schedule offering 36/48 hour shifts. The LPN will be expected to work 12-hour shifts with the opportunity for overtime. Breaks will be provided as per state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license.
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) settings is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• No facial piercings allowed during shifts.
• Tobacco-free facility: smoking is not permitted during shifts.

Training

Selected candidates will receive 1-2 nights of training to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Housing

Housing is available for traveling nurses, with accommodations provided in a shared basement facility located approximately 2 miles from the workplace. The residence includes 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, along with a kitchenette.

Facility Overview

This is a newly opened facility, established in November 2016, and serves a population of 1600 residents. The working environment is described as slow-paced, allowing for effective resident care.
