LDRP Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

The unit offers an average of 30-37 births per month and consists of a 5-bed unit. Med-Surg assistance may be required occasionally, primarily for medication administration without patient assignments. Due to the closure of labor and delivery units in surrounding hospitals, there is a strong likelihood of overtime opportunities.

Work Schedule

• Standard Work Week: 36 hours
• Overtime: Opportunities likely available due to birth volume

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in LDRP required.

Housing Information

Housing is provided at no cost. Alternatively, candidates may seek housing in nearby Bloomington (35 minutes east) or Champaign (40 minutes south).

Certifications

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• STABLE (Instructor Certified; online portion accepted)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Charting System

Charting is performed using MediTech following birth and OBIX during delivery.
