Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

General Information

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Unit Staffing: RNs, unit secretary, OR techs
• Documentation System: CPN, Meditach
• Schedule Requirements: 3 weekend shifts, 3 twelve-hour shifts
• Floating Policy: Travelers float first

Patient Experience Requirements

Certifications

Required certifications for this role include:

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for the laboring patient and newborn immediately after delivery.
• Circulate and recover c-section patients.
• Perform procedures including vaginal deliveries, caesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and administer epidural anesthesia.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery.
• Advanced skills required in caring for laboring patients and newborns.

Dress Code

Professionals are required to wear scrubs in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray. Scrubs are not provided by the hospital.
