Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse) – Labor/Delivery (L&D)

City/State: Grand Island, Nebraska

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit. The role involves caring for obstetric, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN patients, and those with pregnancy complications such as hypertension or diabetes.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with BLS and NRP certifications.
Titrate drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia as needed.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver superior patient care.
Manage labor and delivery processes, following AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience.
Active RN license with required certifications: BLS, NRP.
Pass a 90% pass/fail skills exam during orientation.
Compliance with hospital policies including artificial nail prohibition and mileage radius rule.
