Shift: 12H Nights, Every other weekend, First to float, Night shifts from 19:00:00 to 07:00:00

Job Description:

The RN will provide care in a 17-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 OR suites for C-sections, equipped to handle level 3 high-risk patients. Nurses must be independent, confident with vaginal exams, internal monitor placements, and care for high-risk laboring/delivery and antepartum patients. The role involves circulating and recovering C-section patients, and floating to post-partum and other units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for laboring and antepartum mothers following AWHONN guidelines.
• Titrate and manage drips such as Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin.
• Read fetal monitor strips and collaborate with the ICU for remote tele monitoring.
• Participate in self-scheduling via the TEAM scheduling system.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, AFM, and NRP certifications.
• Experience with high-risk labor/delivery patients and ability to float to MB as needed.
• Proficiency with the Cerner charting system and effective management of fetal monitor strips.
• Navy Blue Scrubs; light blue OR scrubs for nurse use.
