Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This role requires a dynamic individual dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

The Labor and Delivery unit consists of:

• Number of Beds: 16
• Number of Staff: 120
• Staff Composition:
  • Day Shift: Charge Nurse, PCT, CST, RN
  • Night Shift: Charge Nurse, PCT, CST, RN
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
• Type of Equipment: Baxter Pumps, Phillips Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner, Fetal Ink

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Must Have:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Experience with high-risk pregnancies
  • Knowledge of immediate newborn care
• Preferred:
  • Circulating experience in surgical settings

Typical Procedures Performed

Our Labor and Delivery unit regularly performs the following procedures:

• Vaginal Deliveries
• Cesarean Sections
• D&C (Dilation and Curettage)
• Cerclage
• Cesarean Hysterectomy

Required Certifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
