Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. This role requires a high level of expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional care to expectant mothers and newborns.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 16
• Staff Count: 120
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
• Equipment: Baxter Pumps, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
• EMR: Cerner, Fetal ink

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
• Assist in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other procedures.
• Ensure immediate newborn care following delivery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery.
• Skills: Must have high-risk experience and immediate newborn care skills.
• Preferred Skills: Circulating experience is a plus.
• Certifications:
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Life Support (ALS)
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring
