Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP) with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. This position requires expertise in providing comprehensive care for women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. You will work closely with patients and their families to ensure a safe and positive birthing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and assess the progression of labor.
- Educate and support patients and their families on birthing options and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in the delivery of newborns and provide immediate post-delivery care.
- Document care accurately and comprehensively in patient records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, acute hospital environment.
Contract Details
This role is contracted for 13 weeks with potential for renewal. Please note that the hospital reserves the right to cancel the contract with 24 hours’ notice if necessary.
