Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting women during labor, delivery, and postpartum care while ensuring the safety and health of both mother and baby.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in labor and delivery, providing excellent care and support to mothers and newborns.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals during labor.
• Perform assessments, make clinical judgments, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Educate families about the childbirth process and postpartum care.
• Provide immediate care to newborns, including assessments and interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring certification: Advanced or Intermediate certifications are acceptable.
• Stable certification is recommended, but not required.

Work Schedule

Flexible shifts are required, including 7 PM to 7 AM, with rotation through weekends and holidays. Candidates must be available to work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, as well as New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.

• Local and traveling candidates are welcome, and there is no rate difference for local travelers.
• The charting system utilized is Meditech.
• Scrubs of any color are permitted.
• Candidates must complete State background checks at an IdentiGO location, with potential delays in results.
• Housing options include Airbnb, bed and breakfast, or hotel accommodations.

Contract Length

This position is for a 13-week contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and unit needs.
