Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for a 15-week contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in the field, particularly in managing antepartum and laboring patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cervical exams and monitor fetal heart rates.
• Administer amnio infusions, epidurals, and Pitocin as needed.
• Circulate in Cesarean sections and assist with baby catching/receiving, ensuring proper APGAR scoring.
• Provide comprehensive antepartum and postpartum care for both mothers and infants from transition to discharge.
• Offer breastfeeding support and education.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring are required.
• EMR experience with Epic is strongly preferred.
• Strong skills in Labor and Delivery nursing, including IV and fetal monitoring.
• Experience with a Level II NICU is a plus.
• Comfortable in all aspects of postpartum care.

Additional Information

• Scrub experience is beneficial; however, a Scrub Tech will be on-site.
• Teal scrubs will be provided.
• A multilingual capability, particularly in Russian and Spanish, is preferred due to the community served.
