Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery (LDR)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery (LDR) team for a contract position. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients during the labor and delivery process, while also being adaptable to float to Medical-Surgical (MS) units as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the LDR environment.
• Float to Medical-Surgical units as necessary to accommodate overflow patient demands.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training and orientation to maintain competency in clinical practices.

Work Schedule

The position requires the following schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts from 1845 to 0715.
• Every other weekend is mandatory.
• Participation in holiday rotations is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Willingness to float to MS and provide care for pediatric patients.
• EPIC experience is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery within a rural setting.
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.

License and Certifications

• Current RN license.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required.
• Completion of a fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) within the last 24 months is mandatory.
• Commitment to obtain PALS certification prior to start date is essential.

Payroll and Payment Schedule

Employees will receive biweekly pay.
