OB/L&D Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OB/L&D Nurse to join our team in a dynamic labor and delivery unit. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently as the only Labor and Delivery nurse on the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal health hourly during labor.
• Utilize advanced fetal monitoring techniques when applicable.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Advanced fetal monitoring experience is preferred.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is preferred.
• Must have experience working in labor and delivery.
• Ability to work independently and provide care in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position handles an average of 36 births per month, providing an engaging and enriching experience in the field of obstetrics.
