Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position requires a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) who will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery. The role involves working in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.

Schedule

Night Shift from 1900 to 0730, totaling 36 hours per week. The schedule is determined based on unit needs and does not include block scheduling.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate Degree (A.S.) in Nursing or equivalent: Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing: Preferred
• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery: Required
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current RN license in the state of practice: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Required
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course: Required
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification or Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification: Required

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in the use of EPIC electronic medical records.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
