Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery Postpartum

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and effective leadership in ensuring safe and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients.
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.
• Demonstrate leadership by anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of prior travel nursing experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby.
• Ability to float to other units as needed based on facility requirements.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP; PALS certification required within 30 days of start if not already obtained.
• AWHONN certification preferred, with the option to complete onsite.

Additional Information

Housing must be secured within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance. Candidates are required to verify housing costs and arrangements before application.
