Job Description:

Registered Nurse needed for Labor/Delivery unit, responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers and neonates, supporting labor and delivery processes, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a family birthing center setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with labor and delivery, including managing 70-80 births a month and performing NST antepartum testing.
• Care for patients with common diagnoses such as 35 weeks and above gestation, supportive management for twin deliveries, and preterm patient stabilization.
• Titrate drips as required, including pitocin and occasionally insulin, and collaborate with OB/Neonatologist and anesthesia as necessary.
• Participate in patient care across various units within the Sacramento facilities as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year LDRP experience; 3 years preferred.
• Must be comfortable with NRP at delivery and possess certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
• Ability to work independently without in-house pediatric coverage, and capable of circulating in the OR for C-sections.
