Job Description:

This role involves providing nursing care and support for labor and delivery patients, with a focus on antepartum, labor, and post-partum stages. The position requires sound clinical judgment and the ability to perform various procedures and practices associated with labor and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cervical exams, manage antepartum and labor patients, perform amnio infusions, and administer epidurals.
• Perform fetal monitoring and administer IVs and Pitocin.
• Circulate during C-sections and manage baby catching/receiving tasks.
• Assess and determine APGAR scores.
• Provide breastfeeding education and support.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience with exposure to post-partum care.
• Certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring.
• Strong skills in labor and delivery, including ability to circulate C-sections.
• Comfort with post-partum care is strongly preferred.
• Scrub experience is beneficial; strong preference for Epic EMR proficiency.
