Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Neuro Interventional Radiology (IR) team is responsible for providing specialized care to patients, primarily as a member of the Stroke Team. The role requires a strong background in ICU settings and includes responsibilities such as monitoring and managing endotracheal ventilation, tracheostomy care, vasoactive drips, and arterial line use.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care as part of the Neuro IR Stroke Team
• Management of endotracheal and tracheostomy ventilation
• Administer and manage vasoactive and sedation drips safely
• Monitor and use arterial lines and external ventricular drains
• Recovery and monitoring post-arterial puncture

Requirements:

• Completion of an approved nursing education program
• Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• ICU experience is mandatory
• Proficiency in using EPIC charting system
