Job Description:

The Nurse Manager for Infusion Services is responsible for the oversight of clinical operations, financial performance, management, and leadership for assigned departments and staff. This role requires coordinating Nursing Service orientation, making patient care assignments, and ensuring compliance with standards of care and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight for the overall financial performance of the assigned departments
  • Coordinates Nursing Service orientation of new staff and provides guidance for new skill development
  • Makes patient care assignments based on care requirements and staff qualifications
  • Revises, implements, and administers nursing services and department-specific policies
  • Collaborates with other healthcare providers for patient care conferences
  • Facilitates and participates in quality improvement activities
  • Assists in training and career development of staff
  • Communicates potential administrative concerns and unresolved issues to the Chief Nursing Officer
  • Oversees the planning, preparation, and approval of the staffing schedule
  • Coordinates Nursing Service activities with other areas/departments/divisions
  • Implements regulatory agency standards
  • Supports MEMC leadership strategies
  • Performs duties independently and provides positive feedback for performance standards

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • AK license required at time of submittal
  • 5 years professional nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years as staff RN in immunotherapy/CHEMO
  • 1 year with supervisory responsibilities required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS, and NRP preferred
