ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is critical for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced intensive care unit.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend: Rotating
• Call Requirements: None
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Unit Specifics

The ICU unit adapts assignments based on acuity and skills, ensuring our team meets the needs of our patients effectively.

Equipment Used

• All ICU equipment including ventilators
• NXStage
• Arctic Sun
• GE Cardiac Output monitor

Documentation

The documentation system utilized is Meditech.

Floating Policy

Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.

Certifications

• CCRN certification preferred

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• A minimum of 2 years of hospital experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system

Required Certifications

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted)

Procedures Performed

• Central line placements
• Bedside procedures such as thoracentesis and dialysis catheter placements
• Cardioversion and intubation
• All other ICU procedures

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy, no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails.
• Hair: Should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer.
• Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible.
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.

Attendance Policy

The company-wide attendance policy will be enforced.
