Job Description:

We are a small 8-bed Critical Care Unit with a wide variety of patients, consisting of adults only. Our patient population may include diagnoses such as DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-heart caths. We maintain a 2:1 or sometimes 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio depending on staffing and acuity. Our facility might have limitations in services offered, but we prioritize providing quality nursing care.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of vents and drips (sedation, vasoactive, etc.)
• Care of CVC lines

Requirements:

• ACLS, BLS, CPI certifications
• Advanced skills needed: ACLS
• Experience with procedures such as bronchoscopy, placement of CVC lines, placement of chest tubes, and sometimes bedside scopes (EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement)
