Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Step Down/PCU

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the ICU Step Down/PCU. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with moderate acuity levels, utilizing your clinical expertise and compassion to promote positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for PCU/MS level patients, managing standard drips excluding insulin and vaso pressors.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality healthcare services.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and health management.

Work Schedule

This position requires working 7 PM to 7 AM shifts, with a commitment to two weekend shifts every two weeks.

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1, ensuring a manageable workload that allows for focused patient care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an ICU or PCU setting.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage diverse patient needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
