Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will provide care for complex ICU patients within a unit that includes pods for MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU. Candidates will not float into the CVICU side unless they have experience in that specialty.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care for surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients.
• Utilize Epic for charting and manage ventilators, hemodynamic lines, and IV medications.
• Work effectively in a team setting and demonstrate strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Possibly float to any adult floor if overstaffed, including Medsurg/Tele.

Requirements:

• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, excluding travel.
• Epic experience and comfort with a 48-hour/week contract.
• Experience with critical patients and conditions such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, and post-surgical care.
