Job Title: Registered Nurse – ICU

Job Description:

Provide comprehensive care to complex ICU patients, specializing in surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma care. This role requires strong critical thinking and assessment skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to a diverse ICU population including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and trauma patients.
• Manage patient ratios of RN: 1:1, 1:2, or rarely 1:3 based on acuity.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including supervising Nurse Aides and working alongside Intensivists, APPs, CRNs, and RTs.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Completion of an approved nursing education program; South Dakota RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, excluding travel, preferred.
• Proficiency in Epic charting, IV medication administration, ventilator management, and telemetry.
• Experience and competency in working 48-hour weeks; strong preference for experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
