Job Description:

Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit responsible for handling complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. The nurse will be part of a mixed unit divided into pods and should be comfortable in fast-paced settings with critical patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for complex ICU patients including ARDS, MI, CVS/TIA, COVID, post-surgical, and trauma cases.
• Manage IV medications, hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, and telemetry.
• Collaborate effectively in a team setting with strong critical thinking and assessment skills.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; significant non-travel RN experience required if less than 2 years.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications; must obtain TNCC if not already certified.
• Experience with Epic, comfortability with a 48-hour/week contract, and familiarity with the patient demographic.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
