Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the ICU will provide comprehensive care to complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. The ICU is a mixed unit composed of MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU, and is divided into pods. Nurses may not be required to float into the CVICU side unless experienced in that specialty.

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients with various diagnoses including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, CNAs, and RTs to deliver optimal care

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Completion of an approved nursing education program; Registered Nurse – South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Experience with Epic charting system and handling IV medications including vasopressors and sedation
• Ability to work a 48-hour week contract
