ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 24
• Number of Staff: 46
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 (1:3 for PCU boarders, 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases such as IABP, CRRT, open heart)
• Unit Staffing Description: 1 CCT/US during day shift if more than 10 patients present
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Scheduling Requirements: Straight nights or 50/50
• Floating Policy: May float to PCU or serve as a sitter anywhere in the hospital inpatient setting

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; strong consideration given to 1 year of extensive experience
• Procedures Performed on Unit:
  • Rapid Sequence Intubations
  • Central line placements
  • Ventilator management
  • Administration of vasopressors
  • Restraint use
  • Arterial lines and other critical care procedures
• Best Personality Fit: Outgoing and a team player
• Required Certifications: ACLS
• Floating Area: PCU

Dress Code

Caribbean Blue scrubs are required for this position.

Work Schedule

• 3 weekend shifts are required within a 4-week period.
