ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role involves providing critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The designated unit features advanced medical facilities and a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 24
• Number of Staff: 46
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 (1:3 for PCU boarders, 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity)
• Unit Staffing: 1 Critical Care Technician/Unit Secretary during the day shift if more than 10 patients are present
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Floating Policy: May require floating to PCU or as a sitter anywhere within the hospital

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting preferred. Will consider candidates with strong 1-year experience.
• Typical Procedures: Includes rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, ventilator use, vasopressors administration, artery line management, and chest tube placements.
• Best Personality Fit: Team-oriented and outgoing individuals are ideal.
• Required Certifications: ACLS certification is mandatory.
