ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

An opportunity for a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility located in a dynamic and compassionate environment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

• Unit Type: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Number of Beds: 33
• Average Daily Census: 16
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2-3 for adults

• Trauma
• Cardiac conditions
• Overdose/Substance Abuse
• Adult Sepsis
• Post-Stent Care
• Pacemaker Placement
• Stroke
• Vascular Cases
• Renal Failure
• Heart Failure
• Respiratory Distress

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU.
• Titrate drips as per facility protocols in critical care settings.
• Handle common titratable and set rate drips such as cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips, documenting findings accurately.
• Utilize RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow.
• Participate in teamwork and collaboration with healthcare support staff.
• Be available for scheduled shifts and comply with unit policies and procedures.

Schedule and Requirements

• Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Minimum of 2 holidays within the contract period
• 1 shift of unit-specific orientation required
• RTO (Requests for Time Off) not to exceed 7 days upfront during a 13-week contract

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Must pass unit-specific examination during orientation with a score of 90% or higher.

Additional Information

Candidates are expected to comply with a fingernail policy, prohibiting artificial nails in departments providing patient care. Additionally, candidates falling within 50 miles radius may be considered for this position.
