Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Registered Nurse to work in our Critical Care Unit (CCU). The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking skills and will be part of a collaborative team focused on providing exceptional patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios: 2:1, occasionally 3:1
• Staffing Description: Multi-Tasking (MT); a tech may be staffed depending on census
• Types of Equipment: Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, Hemodynamic monitoring
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week
• Floating Policy: Float in rotation with core staffing

Patient Experience Requirements

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH

Qualifications

• Must Have Skills: Critical thinking, self-motivated
• Advanced Skills Needed:
• Procedures Performed on Unit: Central line insertions, dialysis catheter insertions
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH

Dress Code

Uniforms: Scrubs – any color, no denim, capris, or camo.
